This beer is our homage to the simple, easy drinking, malt-forward ales served in pubs throughout the UK. Based on the Special Bitter style this deep copper colored ale exhibits notes of light fruit (apple, citrus) and a touch of caramel and bready malt. Our interpretation of the classic Belgian White Ale. Brewed with unmalted wheat and flaked oats for a soft mouthfeel and an incredibly pale color. Dark in color but only gently roasty, with a deep malt body thanks to a single decoction mash. The clean, crisp finish is courtesy of a Czech lager yeast, along with 5 weeks of lagering at 30°F. German Pilsner and Vienna malts, German hops, and traditional lager yeast come together to create a pale, malt-forward, springtime bock beer. A single decoction and long cold lagering create a deeper and more complex malt character. Expect notes of honey, toasted cereal, and fresh bread crust with a medium body and a herbal finish. To commemorate our 300th batch brewed we decided to revisit a style that we love here - Pale Ale. Expect all the flavor punch of a juicy IPA, just without quite as much of an ABV kick. Our barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout returns for our 6th Anniversary! Aged for 10 months in J. Henry and Wollersheim Bourbon and Dancing Goat Rye barrels, this year‘s version benefits from the additional rye whiskey barrels to add layers of complexity. The beer has intense aromas of chocolate and stewed fruits. The favor is full of sweet malt, caramel, and roast with layers of vanilla, coffee, coconut, and oak.
